Thecus is a maker of popular NAS units.
At the Thecus User group forums the user patmtp35 posted about a compiled version 2.2.2 'module' by Dybak, which is claimed to work for the models N5200 and N0503: http://thecususergroup.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=n0503modifications&thread=3886
After installation the llink.conf file needs to be edited. The ROOT must be set to the directory where you have your movies, for example (n0503):
ROOT=/raid/data/myvideo
